Acrylic Sculpture on Canvas, Coloured in Oils  (2004 – 2007)

Since the beginning of time, consciously or subconsciously, as individuals and as a society, we have been searching for the Truth. We hear rare instances of individuals who have risen to attain the Truth. For most of us, the Truth remains elusive, and the quest remains a search. While we passively or actively wait, we can at least hope to sense the realm of Truth, by first acknowledging the various forms of ‘Lies’ within and around us, and then by negating them. The consistent light emerging from the center of the paintings is symbolic of the Truth we seek. The thick textured foreground is symbolic of the barriers that conceal, and yet unveil, the Truths that set us free.
